For those looking at doing this upgrade, what would they be looking to spend on just the entire diff w/ LSD?

Depending on where you find it between about $450-700 is about normal.

Also add labor if you cant do the work yourself. On a scale from 1-10 if youre mechanicaly inclined would be a 3 on a lift and about a 5 to do it on jackstands.

My buddy and I spent 2 hours doing the swap and that included talking BS with each other and stoping when a customer walked in.

GVile350: please look at jeffs thread that I posted on thr first page. He goes into details for this swap and it will not work on an IS250.

^Yeah, I already knew that...kinda sucks cuz I'd have to spend either a grand on a Quaife, 2 grand on a OS Giken LSD, or cross fingers that a used '10+ ISF Torsen works in a 350 rear end. I still wanna be the first with a ISF LSD...just near impossible to find a junked '10+ ISF pumpkin though.

I got a small confusion.... Which part measures 205mm on the IS250 and 208mm on the IS350?
I have been researching a lot on these cars and I wanted to buy an IS250 and had most of the mods I wanted in mind, but reading some of this forum's threads have me nearly convinced to go for an IS350 instead. But now I have this LSD confusion... What is do different about these two differentials and what would be a possible option to get the Torsen LSD from an IS300 in a 350?

The ring gear is 205mm versus 208mm, it is internal to the differential case. The case itself has different mounting points, a different style of pinion flange and different axle lengths. If you wanted to use an IS250 differential in your IS350, you'd need to swap out the subframe, get a custom driveshaft and swap out the axles for IS250 ones.
