Tire pressure with 20" wheels
What is everyone setting their tire pressure at for those who have 20" wheels?
I have an IS AWD on 225/35/20 tire what should I be setting the tire pressure at?

I believe you are suppost to use the pressure stated in your cars user manual. Only maximum pressure will be stated on the sidewall of the tire. No matter what size tire i run, i use the one stated in the door jamb/manual.

I run 225/30/20 & 255/30/20 Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 on my Vossens. The manager at discount tires told me to run them at 45psi. Its says 50psi max . Hes also runs stretched tires on his car and they seem to ride ok. Since Hankooks have a soft sidewall anyway i dont mind running them at that psi. I noticed better gas mileage too or Im just ***** footing it with my 20s and a stretch lol Either way Ive got a replacement warranty if anything happens to them. Hopefully this helps.

I wrote up an answer in another thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-your-20s.html
For you, if your 225/35R20 tires have a load index of 90XL, then you will need 42psi on the front, and they actually do not meet the original load capacity on the rear, but you can try 45psi.
Even though you can get the same outside diameter as the stock tires, low profile 20" tires simply do not have enough sidewall strength to support the same loads. Run at your own risk!
