Headlight Defogging?
My headlights are a little fogged up they dont have that clearness and shine anymore. I need tips on how to sand them down as best as possible to give them new life again.

They sell kits at your local auto parts store to do this and in my experience, they work quite well. Just be sure to get a sealer or else the "foggyness" will return and will be worse (because you sanded down all the original sealer).

sanding it will remove the UV protection on the headlight so even if you use those kits, 3-6 months it'll go back to being foggy. I recommend finding a local detailer to clear the headlights for your and seal them!

A little bit of compound or toothpaste (the paste kind, believe it or not), a whole lot of elbow grease, and a coat of wax afterwards to seal the headlight lens and you should be good to go. Won't remove the pits from rocks and stones though.

dont waste ur money on those damn kit!!!..its a waste. heres what i did for all my cars and i believe professional shops do the same thing. things ull need!
-buffer or drill gun with pad
-wet sand paper 3m's is best, can find it at any auto store walmart etc if its bad use 2000 middle 3000 or 4000
-rubber compound 3m's
-meguiar headlight polish
First thing u do is wet ur headlights, wet ur sand paper in a bucket. sand down ur headlights as thouroghly as possible until all those crap goes away. then rub some rubber compound on and it buff it out as good as possible then use the headlight polish and apply it on, leave it for like 30 secs to a minute with a cloth wipe it down BAMMM!!! looks like new quaranteed to work. i've done it so many times and itll last u forever til u have to do it again. or after ur done take it to a shop to shoot a clear coat over and u probably wont have to do again, optional. fyi do it in the shade. be careful with ur paint when sanding and wash ur car right after cause u dont want the rubber compound to bake on ur paint!! i think thats all. any questions let me know.
