Any black interior swap info?
Ok, so I have an 06 350, black with tan interior. I've had it for some time now (like 3 years) but I want to get black interior. Are there any tips that anyone has to help me out like....
*Where can I get the black interior? Swap on this site? Junk Yards? Insurance companies?
*How much should I offer for it? I am willing to swap and add cash.
*I have vented seats, did all the 2is come with it or do I have to swap for vented seats?
Thanks everyone for your help and if you just so happen to want swap your interior with mine, PM me.

door pannels alone in black will run you about that much if your lucky you can get them for 300 (each) front and 250 (each) rear thats 1100 right there. Not many people if any will trade you to get the Tan interior. Everyone is always doing tan to black so your going to have to buy the black interior and then part out your tan slowly. Ive seen the seats ventilated go for around 500 and cheaper non ventilated. the rear is somewhere around that price too. You have to have deep pockets or get lucky. Now you might be able to find cheaper prices for used peices but your going to pay for what you get in most situations which means very worn parts. I looked into this and decided against it for now...too much $$$. Im just going to make sure to get a black interior on my next IS which will be an ISF

It's a money pit.. The amount of parts to do a FULL black swap keep adding up and selling the tan interior parts barely recoupe the cost of any of it!
I've done it....and still have a garage full of tan parts that nobody wants.
Biggest money parts outside of seats and door panels are the knee airbags and seat belts! Don't forget the headliner and carpet which are tough to find used let alone cost effective to ship. . If you want to cut corners you can try fabric dye but it's def not the same quality as oem...I wouldn't advise it.

you could find a customer interior shop to do a headliner and carpet replacement in black ive done that before in my eclipse. It looks as good as oem if done right. Still going to be hella expensive. I am going to do all my door pannel inserts in black as they start becoming damaged from normal usage if I cant find tan peices that are in good shape I also have black mats so it will be more two toned then anything. I think it will look good and somewhat OEM. Maybe you can try something similar like only swapping out the seats.

I don't know what would be better for me if I were in that situation.
1. Just keep what I have and learn my lesson
2. spend tons of cash to get it the way I want it/go through all the hassle
3. trade my car for same year or newer and in black
What would you guys do. Maybe this helps our boddy here
Good luck
