Default Reverse camera problem

It was -19C this morning and my reverse camera stopped working.

Nothing happens on NAV screen when I put the gear lever to R. See video below.

When it happens, I have to drive the car a while, shut it down and start it up again. Then it will work as normal. (sometime I have to drive a bit longer though).

Had this problem last year. My dealership installed a brand new camera since they though the problem is with the camera itself. But now I get this problem again.

Just wondering, anyone else in cold climate got this problem?

-19*C was very cold. I guess the back camera was covering by icy outside in frigid weather.

Interesting, definitely sounds like the electronics are being affected by the cold temps somehow. I wonder if anyone else who lives in that cold of a climate has had the issue.

Thats what I'm wondering...

My dealer said they have never seen this before. But since I recorded it they agreed to change the camera to a new one last winter. It worked till today. Well, time to visit the dealer again then...
