Default Best year IS 350 to buy?

What's up CL?

I am in the market for an IS350, but I am not sure what is the best year to buy...

I know cars have bigger issues some years over others, but what is the best year to buy and what years should I avoid...starting back from '07...

Oh, and what packages?

Thanks CL!

The more recent the better. More issues resolved. Options are your choice.

07 They added the shark fin on roof, disable traction control button, and bigger illuminated gas+trunk buttons.

08 They carved deeper slits in the front seat backs for more rear passenger leg room, adjusted the steering, and changed the OEM rims from hyper silver to liquid graphite color.

09 They updated slightly the front and back bumpers and lights. Changed driver side switches. I think they adjusted the steering again. Rims changed to "lobster claw" style.

10 They updated the Nav from DVD based to USB and updated the interface. Added silver trim to steering wheel and glove box. Updated the front and backs again. Added LED headlights. Loss AFS adaptive headlights.

11 I don't know lol. Rim style changed to 5 spokes? Added F-Sport package.

12 They they changed the color of temperature switches from green to red for heat, blue for cold.

As for packages, the Luxury pack is the most fully loaded. Then you have stand alone options like radar cruise control (super rare), parking assist, and headlight washers.

I'd get an 08+. Someone correct me on this info?

Check out the buyer's guide. Helped me a lot.

On the 06-07's people complained it was too soft and light. So they tightened it in the 08s, and continued to adjust it thru the year changes, at least twice.

2010 still had AFS, no LED strip. The front and back same as 2009.

2011 lost AFS and got the bubbling LED strip. The rear signal is clear vs amber. Missing LEXUS emblem on lower left part of trunk.

And apparently some 06-08 have this mysterious dent on the roof?

And the tail lights are interchangeable in the '08 to put '11's?

Yep you can swap the tails

As far as the handling, for the 08 they just made changes to the actual steering system.
F-Sport sways will greatly improve the handling on any year ISx50.

And of course, the 2008's come with that sweet little coin holder that lets you hold like 3 quarters

Silver trim and LED headlights are on 2011, not 2010.

That little slot thing? You better fill that thing up because if there's room in between the coins, every bump or turn your car makes, the coins will rattle.

I specifically look for 2008 because I don't like the blinkers on the mirrors
