Default Recalls

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. If your car does not have a warranty and the car has recall(s). You can take to the dealer and the dealer will fix the recall(s) issues free of charge right?

Recalls - Dealer MUST fix at ANY time. Doesn't matter if you have 2 miles or 200,000

TSIB's - Only covered under applicable warranties.

Never heard of a $50 gift card with recall service, but I do get a free fill up of gas when having any recall work done

I got a $50 visa card when I took in my IS for the floor mat/Gas pedal recall. All other times, I received a full gas tank.

Very nice, wouldn't mind a $50 visa card. I'd take that over the free gas

This is very good to hear. Will the dealer charge you for taking your Lexus in just to check if all the recalls have been done on the car?

they don't need the car to do this, just the VIN... (and I think if you register as an owner with the VIN at lexus.com it'll show you any applicable recalls there without even talking to a dealer- at least it used to)

As stated from above members, they will do it free of charge. Call the dealer and ask them to check to see if your car has had all the recalls done. They will ask for the VIN and that will determine if your car is affected or not. If you look at the TSIB, they should have a range of VINs that are affected.
