I have had my CPO IS 250 for less than two weeks and this mysterious dent appeared today around the sunroof! What is it? I have been trying to see pictures that others have posted. Not too technical. It is also the first day I have used the sunroof....connection??

not much u can do, i guess is the chassis flex caused... i guess just take it to a body shop and get it fix... i just left it the way it is.. u don't really notice it unless u really look at it...
I have yet to get a PDR expert to look at my dent. I'm guessing <$100 for the fix since you can really access it through the sunroof opening. To this day I'm still positive that my dent happened immediately after I hit a pretty good pothole with my BCRs on.
Thank you so much for all the advice. Do not remember driving over anything or very fast at all since I got it. I am taking it to several places tomorrow...body shop, PDR expert etc. and get their opinion before I go back to the dealer. The dealer said something "fell on it" and they would pull it out. Nothing fell on it!

Bump from a prospective IS350 buyer. I am looking at buying a 2006-2009 IS350, though hearing that the roof deforms under light road hazards has me concerned...very concerned. I have never heard of a car that has such a problem. Are there any years of 2IS 350 that are structurally reinforced in a way that mitigates this problem? Perhaps the 2009 model? I am trying to stick with the 2IS as I think the 3IS is absolutely hideous. I was all set on a 2008, but I may decide to go another route with my purchase, as I don't want to worry every time I go over a speed bump a few miles an hour too fast, that's just ridiculous.
There is a post here from a 2012 that claims to have this issue, so I don't think this was fixed in any way.
It's weirdly concerning since safety testing includes crushing the roof to see just how much weight it will withstand so most modern automobile have extremely strong roofs.
The last time this thing happened to me I was driving a cheap Suzuki 800cc 3 cylinder car in 1985. the whole passenger shock tower moved up by 3mm. The only way to get alignment done in this situation was to move the Mcpherson suspension bolts down by that much amount. This is certainly a very sorry throwback comparing my Lexus to that
Ok i found it ! Club Lexus got everything eh hahaha, for 2006-2012 AWD IS250 Sunroof DENT defected by Lexus Facfory, i was waiting for my Wife at her work pulled out a Smoke and was looking at my 2011 IS250 AWD sunroof and saw A DENT ?
1st i thought the previous owner did something with it, 5 mins later friend of mine came to pick up his GF cause my wife and his GF worked there, i looked at his 2010 AWD is250 sunroof and it EXACTLY THE SAME very identical. Damn ,still didn't believe, yesterday i went to my Alignment Shop friend with his 2009 AWD IS250 see his car in my Avatar the grey one, he also has the same DENT near his sunroof same spot same dent ???? the heck ? yo i spent minutes to look very carefully, yes it's the factory laminating machine defects, when they press the sunroof the molding it's like that how come Lexus did not notice it ?
Driver side right above your head if you have 2006-2012 AWD with sunroof take a look again carefully, i'm Bodyshop guy so nothing will mess with my good EYES ! it's not that bad but LOL come on Its a Lexus not Lexhit hahaha
