I have a small dent courtesy of the P.O. - right above where the passenger-side visor is. This was due to a rock chip, Long simply gave me a tube of touch-up paint to fill it in.
Nothing to the extent of the damage next to y'all's moonroof though, that just looks scary.

I've got one behind my sunroof. Not as bad as the others.. But annoying. Have a guy that's gonna fix the dent, buff out a couple scratches and black out the roof for 300.

Interesting to read this. I stepped sideways from an 09 Si to an 08 is250 (miss the power, mpg and ergonomics but like the smoother ride and better paint). Anyway, dent's around the sunroof, exactly as you pictured are occurring frequently in Civic Si's too. After 20K miles in mine I never had a problem nor do I have one on my 250 with almost 50k miles. I rarely used the Si's s/r and of course with the design of the Lexus s/r I don't know of anyone who would use it due to the buffeting and wind noise but, I digress. What I theorize, from other's driving styles or miss fortunes, is that the major cause of the dimpling is due to curbing the wheels, potholes, or extreme driving while the sunroof is open. This leads me to believe structural integrity is slightly compromised when the s/r is open. Repairing these divots is not an easy task. YMMV, this is just my observation. Don't want a dimple? Keep the hole closed and stay off the curbs.

My car is currently at the body shop getting repaired, so I'll let you all know how it all turns out in terms of the dents in the roof. The body shop guy said that they can easily fix the dents without having to repaint or anything of that sort, so I assume they will use some sort of suctions cups or something. BTW, having the sunroof open/closed doesn't make any difference. My sunroof was closed when the roof was dented, so I don't think it matters at all.

Yes! I have the same "dent" that the OP has...
I discovered the problem years ago on my 07 (maybe a couple years after buying her), and I was going to take it to the dealer to see if they'd cover it under warranty, but I'm not someone who's very good at making a fuss about something like that, and I figured they wouldn't fix it for me without a struggle, so I decided to let it go for now, heh. It no longer bothers me that much, and no one notices it until I point it out, but it's still a bit disappointing.

Has anyone had one of these roof dents fixed by a paintless dent removal specialist? And if so, how long has it been since the fix and has the dent stayed away?
