Default parts of windshield fogging

the lower 2-3 inches of my drivers side windshield gets foggy sometimes. it's the only place this happens so I'm wondering if my vents are blocked or there is a dead spot in the air circulation or something.

It does go away if I turn on the defrost mode but I don't like to drive with it on too much in the winter b/c it turns on the AC and my mpg goes to crap

anyone else notice this? it's a small issue but annoying nonetheless.

cleaning it with stoner's ig hasn't helped. I never really wipe down my interior glass anyhow but tried cleaning this area and it did nothing. Going to apply some fog fight on it soon...

Sounds like normal condensation to me.

Sometime I use front defogger without the A/C but when it does not work I report to turning it on for a little bit until ti goes away and I turn the A/C off.

Have you tried the front windshield deicer to see if it helps?

It's normal. Happens every winter. Now I'm in the habit of just turning on the defog/defrost when I start the car.

Make sure on the "Climate" you have "A/C" button turned on. Yes, I know it is winter but YOU MUST TURN IT ON or else you get the condensation.

/thread.

Yep, definitely sounds normal. Defog with the A/C is the quickest way to get rid of it, i find.

ime, you don't have to have the AC button on for the AC to work, if the front defrost or the defrost and footwell mode is chosen, then the AC comes on, even if your temp is cranked up.

I drove around with the defrost and footwell button on all winter last year and used about 12.5L/100km. Now that I leave it off the defrost modes, I'm getting 11.5L/100km

every little bit of savings helps but now I'm shelling out for defogging products... can't win hahaha

I had that happen to me out of the blue, but then I realized I had the Dual climate control on. My side of the car was 80, and the passenger was 68...thus causing the condensation.

it sounds normal. Try running A/C and the windshield defroster. You can feel / hear if its blocked but i doubt thats the case.
