Default Invoice vs Dealer Cost 2011 IS350 RWD

Hi,
I recently joined the Lexus Forum. I actually did a lot of research on the IS350 before I purchased my 2011 IS350 RWD. The total cost out the door, included taxes, registration, dmv, dealer fees, was $41,950.

Correct me if I m wrong on this guys,

Start out with truecars.com to find the dealer invoice, and dealer cost. Then start sending out as many requests as possible to your local dealers, using Truecars.com. Please use your real contact, either by email or phone, then I guaranteed you within hr someone will contact you with a price quote.

Majority of the dealers quote me with $41,XXX + Taxes + Registration + DMV + Dealer fees = approximately $44,XXX out the door.

If you don’t mind waiting at the end of the year to get your car, then you probably will spend at least 2.5k-3K more on your new car.

Here is why,
If the dealer doesn’t sale the car by certain time, their incentive + Hold back will be deducted and get charge back, usually try to buy the car after 31st Dec.

So I got quote $38,889 for my 2011 IS350 RWD, Luxury Package Plus ($2,487), Navigation ($2233), Rear Spoiler + Wheel Locks + Cargo Net + Trunk Matt ( ~$400).

Dealer Invoice on this vehicle average is $35,150 ( Based on National pricing)

$35,150 + $2487 + $2233 + $400 = $40,270, this price does not including the incentives and hold back to the dealer from manufacture.

To be fair quote by most salesman “ you paid 5% above the invoice price so we can all live, and put food on our family table” . To me, I need to put food on the table for my family too, whatever!
So 5% of $40,270 is $2013 so you will end up paying around $42,283. 5% above the invoice price is the BS number that made by dealers, please please do not fall into this trap!!!! Most you offer to them is 4% on the DEALER COST NOT INVOICE.

Do your research you will find the Dealer incentive and holdback on the IS350. For my situation, the dealer incentive from the manufacture is $2000 and $800 on the hold back.

This is how you get the dealer cost from the dealer invoice

Dealer Invoice $35,150 - $2000(Incentive) - $800(holdback) = $32,350

Then you add the Deliver fee of $875 + 32350 = $33,225

Give the dealer 4% on the $33,225 is $1329

So you take $1329 + dealer cost + all the option and package you add in your vehicle.
This is just an estimate pricing of the 2011 IS350 RWD, depends on your situation.

In my situation, the dealer cost on my IS350 RWD is $38,345 and the price dealer quote me is $38,889. The dealer makes about $544 + $2800(incentive and Hold back) = ~$3300….but the manufacture pay for the $2800 not you,

For most situation, people pay an average $1,500 above the invoice price + $2800 (incentive + Holdback)

Then in the end I get credit back additional $1000 plus 0.9% interest rate because I m a loyal lexus owner.

$38889 + Taxes+DMV+ Registration+Dealer Fees = $42, 578 - $1000(loyal customer) = $41,578.

If you are a military member you will always qualify $750 off your purchase out the door price and 1.9% interested rate up to 48 months. (changes may apply through region)

Hey guys correct me if I am wrong, so we all can outperform the dealership. And post your buy experience on here too, and love to hear you guys comment.

Default 2013 IS 250 F Sport cost

That was very helpful KYLEAF1. I'm a college grad and a loyal lexus customer so would I get the college grad rebate of $1,000 plus the loyalty money of $1,000? I'm dealing on mine right now and hoping to get it next week. I have them down to 33,000 from 39,562 and thinking I'll pull the trigger but want to capture the grad money as well.

Thats a GREAT DEAL!

I got my 2012 250 F sport w/ Navi for 36K out the door. I think you should be able to knock more off the price, I got mine last year and still got a better deal.

My sales tax in my state is 3xs what you pay in NC. You pay a highway use tax there right? I'd calculate your at around $950 there.
