Not sure if a carbon fiber trunk and spoiler was used but I am assuming carbon fiber was layed over. I would PM the OP to confirm

hey guys, taking my car to the shop in a few days for body work, thinking about getting the spoiler molded, my concern, everyday i open and close my trunk to put things inside ( for work ) , obviously id be close the trunk carefully and not slam it hard, but id imagine doing this everyday even for 1-2 months would cause the molded areas to start cracking...
considering how often i have to open & close my trunk, should i avoid molding the spoiler?

^I had that same concern, but there shouldn't be any stress with the molding. I've seen zero cracks or even any imperfections from when I had mine molded. I have kids and adults who find the need to slam it whenever they need access to the trunk area, which, while it bothers me somewhat, makes me feel a bit better knowing that the molded spoiler can take such a beating. Seriously, with such weight with the spoiler and material to mold, gravity itself will close the trunk fully without any strength, and that's how I always close my trunk. But it'll be primarily how the shop is planning to reinforce the areas that might cause vibration. Other than that, I can't envision anything bad happening to the mold once its formed and its shape has been finalized. Best of luck! I know you've been wanting to do this for awhile, my friend.

yes. its very obvious. look how the quarter blends right into the spoiler one one side, and on the other side it doesnt.
