I have taken mine through the car wash many times without problem but mine is attached with RTV. I couldn't get mine to stick with 3M tape (the expensive 3M tape from Amazon) for more than a few days before it would come loose. I would be afraid to take it through a wash with just tape holding it on.

Take your time the first time and use lots of tape and adhesion promoter. I have had to do mine like 3 times and it sucks getting the old tape off... Really sucks. Mine kept popping up on the outer edges.

My roof spoiler is finally coming loose after 5 years planning to reinstall with RTV. How difficult is it to remove the glue if I decide to put the car back to stock?

As far as removing it to go back to stock later. I assume a razor blade and goo-gone would take it off since its just glued to the glass. It's pretty hard to damage glass.

Mine started to come off after almost a year , it started lifting on one side so I removed it with a old credit card and a heat gun. When i bought my Fiberglass spoiler they gave clear silicone I'm guessing a combo of as much 3m you can get on then on the outer perimeter a bead of the outdoor silicone to seal out the water from the tape. Silicone works great it's what's helping my diffuser stay on and has been through winter
