Default VSC Check Engine Light Rain

So, for some odd reason my VSC and check engine light comes on randomly for a few days at a time than turns off. I asked a mechanic at Toyota about it the first time and he said it could be a rain drop getting on the sensor and messing it up. Ever since he said that I have been noticing it only comes on when it is raining outside. Any ideas? I do not know where the sensor is or how it works but could this be causing the problem? Any ideas how to fix it? Any input would help. My vehicle is an 08' IS250 AWD.

Thanks!

Could be you secondary o2 sensor rite underneath were you midpipe are. Happen to once after I ran threw a puddle and had to replace both. But if it dry out and goes away not a big deal. Mine happen to shorted out.

I was getting the VSC light every once in a while as well. I dont know if it was specifically during the rain, but i replaced my O2 sensor and it solved the problem just as laobo said.

Check engine and VSC comes on for any check engine light issue.

it can literally be anything from "your gas cap is loose" to "You're about to need a new car"

You'll need to have the code(s) read to have any idea what's going on.

Autozone and such usually does this free.

There are four of them. The two that are underneath the car are screwed into the exhaust pipe directly below the driver and front passenger seats.
