Why was your trac and ESC off? That defeats the whole purpose of those safety features.
Glad you are okay. Accidents are no fun.

Again thanks everyone for worriying im thinking of buying 04-05 acura tl until the next gen is comes out... Def not getting first year though. And someone asked if the cop made a comment... Well he just laughed and said "it happens". Verte cool guys. I def learned my lesson. Someone asked what tires... Dunlop sp sport Maxx I had over 70 percent thread left.
I'm still going to call BS on your estimated speed. Even with your safety measures turned off, you should be able to stop from 30-35mph in a heartbeat. Even if you lost control (going straight or turning), you should not be ramming a Uhaul truck sideway so hard, that you move a 5000lbs truck 3 feet from crashing at 30-35mph.

My guess is you turned off the trac control and vsc to show off at 12:30am. Now I don't know if you have the 350 or the 250 but your story would even be more BS if you have the 250 because it would even be harder for that car to break traction at 30-35mph with 70% left on your rear tires in the dry. I'm guessing you accelerated and turned left at the same time to try and show off to your sister's boyfriend and was hoping to maybe do a controled slide. Instead, you accelerated way more than you intended to and the rear of the car actually broke traction and you freaked out and over reacted and instead of lifting and pushing the brake, you kept riding the gas pedal and eneded up slamming into the Uhual truck at about 50-60 mph.

That's my guess.

man, that's up with so many accidents recently. mine was similar to yours, driver side front and back got ding up, but not as bad as yours. my side airbags didn't go off either.

Every insurance co is different but I've heard that if the airbags go off, they total the car and judging from your pixs, it looks like all of the air bags went off so again, this was a pretty serious accident.

On a side note, I'm sure this will be the last time your sister and her boyfriend asks you for a ride.
Jesus christ man, I don't even feel sympathetic for your pathetic accident. What are you doing trying to drift with 2 beloved passengers, your SISTER and BOYFRIEND. That is just pure irresponsible. Like others have stated you were definitely not going 35 no way in hell you can slam into a PARKED ABANDONED truck like that. Shame on you for endangering your own life and your loved ones life. Not only did you endanger other people and your own lives, you are also driving everyone's insurance rates up.

I thought I was the only one who immediately called BS when he said he was going 30-35 mph =x That accidentally looks WAY too bad to be a 30-35mph accident. More like 50-60+

Either way, glad everyone was OK and you've learned a lesson? Take it to the track where you only put yourself in danger for stunts if you choose to do so.

Seems like a bit of reckless driving and, why the hard left and traction control system off?

Ouch!! I'm sorry! Glad you and passengers are ok, the car is definitely totaled like everyone else is saying. I totalled my Subaru about 6 months ago and I still wish I went and got my leg checked as I still have a bone contusion I'm pretty sure (it still hurts). So do go get checked out and make sure your ok.

Sounds like you may have over steered a bit. I've slid out in my car before but in the sand with TC on. Definitely something I wouldn't want to try on the street. Every time someone posts accident pics of an IS, I feel that much better about my car because its so safe.
