Hi everyone,

I have a 2010 IS, and I recently just upgraded from OEM wheels and tires to some 19" Vossen wheels and Hankook tires. I'm still waiting for the wheels to get shipped.

However, will it still be ok to use the OEM spare wheel and tire, say, when I get a flat tire on one of the Vossen 19's? Will the OEM spare wheel and tire still fit on my car (I'm pretty sure Vossen has different lug nuts, etc)? I'm not sure the size of the spare tire, but is it ok to run with it plus 3 other 19"? Any other issues?

Oh, and I should also mention I will be dropping on H&R in the future!

Yes you will be fine using stocks as a spare. Keep 5 factory lug nuts. Thanks for purchasing Vossen, send me some pics and post up a thread when its installed and dropped.

Am I correct to assume the spare tire in our trunk is a 18", if our car comes with 18" wheels?

Also, what other tools do I need to mount the spare wheel .. ?

The spare wheel is a donut if you are rwd. LOL. I have an 07 IS350 and that's what I have. It wouldn't be a full sized spare since they would be required to provide two if one were to go out, i think?

On the 3GS we have a donut here but for whatever reason in the Middle East they get the fullsize spare!

Huh? Who is "they" and what car have you ever known to have two spare tires?!? I had a full-size spare in my last two cars and they both only had a single spare.
