Default High miles

I just picked up an o6 with almost 90k miles and am just curious to know if anyone else on CL has or had a high mile 350 (or 250) that could let me in on any serious issues they ram into or anything I can expect to run into. I don't want to start dropping a bunch of cash into mods and then be sol when something goes bad as this will be my daily driver and I will probably be taking bimonthly trips from NC to FL. Thank you in advance for any help y'all may be.

90k is nothing on a Toyota.

Anyways you can check this thread out. Guy has 250k!

There are several members with 100K + with no issues, keep the maintenance up to date , take care of it, and it will go to 200+

Wow that was a great read. Definitely has me smiling. I know 'Yotas can run forever I'm just curious as to problems that members HAVE run into...but thanks for supplying the thread link for some reassurance. CL is awesome.

As long as the maintenance and all recalls have been done, you should have no major issues with the car. There a couple TSIBs (not recalls) that affect the IS350 that are good to have done (too late too have done free now) though. You might get some issues like dash rattle, engine start up sound, etc that were covered previously under factory warranty, but they aren't really "major" issues.

I would register on this lexus website, it will give you some info on the history of your car and you can check for any recalls that may be needed. Congrats on your new IS. http://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/home

^ I was just gonna ask that too. Have you checked the service history to see what work has been done?

I just looked through the record on the site and all I see is maintenance and oil changes, ect. I don't see one recall as being completed. I'll head to the dealership and have that done right away. Thanks fellas.

You might want to post a PDF of the service history so people familiar with them can check them out and let you know what's missing. It's often difficult to discern what really was done from only the dealership's quick few-word description. It's very likely your car has had recalls done its just difficult to make out on the history. It's also good to have others check out that you've had the requisite TSIBs done.

Default 2007 IS250. 90k miles

I also have a high mileage IS250 and according to my Lexus and Toyota techs, they say to keep up with the maintennance oil change schedule and keep using quality fuel. Change the air filter and fuel filter at 100k. I did research into buying this vehicle with 90k miles and all the techs say you can expect 200k+ overall mileage. Good Luck.
