whether it's a Subaru or Scion or Toyota, who's gonna get one after it comes out? i'm seriously leaning toward the Toyota/Scion version. the only thing makes me ponder is the 2+2 rear seating.

serious downgrade from a 350 as far as performance goes.
197~ from a turbo'ed boxer 2 liter and only 150~ ft/lbs of torque.
that isnt near enough in my book.

Trade in my IS350 for an 86/BRZ? Definitely not. Consider it as a next car? Certainly.
No matter how many raves and accolades it may receive for being light, handling well, etc, there's not a chance I'm downgrading from 306 HP to 197 HP. That's the reason I went 350 over 250 in the first place.
I've been following this car since the early rumors and was very excited until I found out it would come with only 200 HP. Yeah yeah it's light, etc, but that's simply not enough power. Clearly this will be a "starter" car for many, with tons of upgrades and aftermarket parts - including FI - available, but I wanted a car that would be seriously quick stock. The IS350 is seriously quick stock - at the time, the quickest NA V6 4-door. The 86/BRZ will not be a seriously quick car until you load on aftermarket parts.
Like Jeff said above, it's a different car and different purpose than the IS350, but I personally value power and quickness enough that the 86/BRZ won't satisfy.

yeah, I'm not switching to a car that's gonna be like 2 seconds slower 0-60 and for certain be an interior downgrade as well
If they'd offered a turboed version with the light curb weight and another 50-70hp or something that'd be different... but this thing is probably gonna be mid-high 6s 0-60, probably in the mid-high 14s in the 1/4 mile... I'm sure it'll be tons of fun on a go-kart track but that's about it.
