What's the price range for a used ISF ECU? Would it be compatible with a 250?

I just swapped my 09 250 Sport to a 2012 250 f-sport. The first thing I noticed, to my surprise was that the steering is notable lighter on the new f-sport. The steering feel was much heavier on my old 09 sport. It takes a bit strength to do a u-turn with one hand rotating on the steering. Now I'm kind of miss that feel...

Did you have it calibrated? Some people have indicated it gets stiffer after a bit of time. That being said, I would have expected the steering feel to stay somewhat consistent between 2009 and 2012 Sport/F-Sport ECU's.

If you already had a Sport ECU, I would have gone for the IS F ECU.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I changed 09 250 to a new car, a 2012 f-sport. I'm just surprised that the new f-sport steering feels lighter than my old 09 sport. I hope it will get stiffer over time as you said.

Tires can affect steering feel and stiffness a lot as well. What kind of tires were on the 09?

get them new for about $450-500 shipped, plus labor to calibrate from the dealer or someone else with techstream

Depends what you want, but for me I can say absolutely yes, I think it was definitely worth it.

Just ordered a '11 ISF Steering ECU. When you get it calibrated, do they have to calibrate to specific points or will the Techstream know automatically how to calibrate it when plugged in?
