Odd, when I looked up the P/Ns on Sewells site they didn't list a different one for the '11 & '12 ISF.

Plenty non-sports pkg 350 steering ecus on ebay...but nothing else. Will have to keep my eyes peeled.

Do you know if the IS F one will be plug and play on 06 IS350? And is the JDM or USDM one are the same?

Nigel, the isf ecu will most likely work on 06 is350 as all isx50 &f ecu are interchangable.

I got the ecu from jeff (canada) and i live in europe with a euro is250.

All ecu's must be the same if the number is the same as the list.

The IS F one should work fine on any ISx50.

RHD cars have the ECU mounted on the other side of the engine bay, so they have different brackets and part numbers. They might work, but I don't have enough information to say for sure.

Thanks for the answer!! Is your euro is250 right hand drive too?

Thanks Jeff!
I've got the Euro LHD, the RHD does have different bracket and ecu numbers... not sure about of just changing the bracket if they will work..

All LHD should have the same partnumbers like above and are interchangeable

Here's my update guys:

Just installed the 2011 ISF power steering ECU (89650-53041) on my 06 IS350 and without calibrating it, my power steering doesn't work at all. My P/S light isn't on and I'm not sure how long or if it will calibrate itself. I drove around some side streets for about 15 miles with 2 key on/key off cycles and there were no changes in the steering (as in no assist). I'll drive around some more for a few days and see if it gets better. If not, I'll have to go to a dealer or find a local person to get it calibrated.

Honestly I expected as much. When Alantjai did his, they were already used. A new ECU probably needs that initial calibration. It needs to know the parameters of the steering sensor, etc.

Thanks Jeff. I guess I'll troll the boards and see if I can find a local tech who has access to Techstream.

Hey guys, just an update to this thread,

I picked up steering control module 89650-53040 off the 2008-10 IS F and plan to install on my 06 IS350.

I'll let you all know if there's any difference between Power ECT and Normal

I'm really interested to figure out how much of a difference this is to either ecu below.
89650-53082 - 2011+ F-Sport
89650-53041 - 2011+ IS F

Hey Jeff,
I have a 2012 IS350 f-Sport, would this part be of any use to my car? If so what are the key differences I can expect? I'd imagine I'd be able to break mostly even after I sell the f-sport ecu since people are benefiting from that as well.

It would simply be less steering assist, so stiffer steering and more road feel.

Jeff
