Default Caliper Paint?

So I just saw on R1concepts website that they sell caliper paint: http://www.r1concepts.com/lexus-is25...liperpaint.htm

does this stuff actually work? And is it better than any other type of paint for break calipers if so? Just wondering.

There's a thread on this. Idealy you want to take your calipers apart and get them powder coated with hi temp paint. For the diy'er, it all comes down to you and how confident you are on doing the actual work. Whether spraying or brush on, prepping is the most important step and a little patience. Taping off the stuff you don't want painted or getting contaminated with brake cleaner,ie plastic/rubber hoses. Making sure the paint cures before applying stickers and wheels. Goodluck.

Thanks for the info all, at this point I have to wait until I get the right wheels anyway.

I ended up using the G2 but with a spray. Just need to clean calipers and mask it off. Also I ended up removing the calipers. But off course you Will have to bleed the brake system.

Good luck
