Default Right side-view mirror broken - Actuator Sub-Assy/Mirror Sub-Assy needed

I talked about this over on a different thread but wanted to give the topic it's own

Someone hit my Right side-view mirror on my 2008 IS 350. Here are pictures (click on images to see larger pictures).

I took the car to Lexus of Silver Spring the next day. They said the actuator was broken and I could either replace the Actuator Sub-Assy (87908-53250-B0) $319.86 (with labor $455). Or I could get the Mirror Sub-Assy (87901-53070-B0) which would be $372.17 but easier to install.

Below are scans of the documents I brought back from Lexus of Silver Spring:

Looking for any thoughts, suggestions, etc before I go through with this through the dealer.

^ hey I saw your PM. Let me hear what LexTunes would charge for the part (versus what the dealer wants) and we'll go from there. Can I ask why you're selling? I assume the insides are in full working condition and would be fully compatible with my mirror?

^cool- My offer will be based on just the part costs between what the dealer quoted me, what LexTuners is about to quote, and any other source for parts. Will get back to you asap but as of right now, you should have an idea of the upper max of the offer

^ hey those are some pretty significant discounts than vs the dealer, here, excellent. The dealer is definitely out the running.

But let me talk to WIZARD to see what he would be willing to do on his mirror. If it's fully functional and just sitting there, it might be a better option for me so please don't take offense.

That being said, of the two actual parts, can you (or anyone else) chime in on which I should go with if I wanted to DIY? Can I even DIY? If not, and it's for the dealer to do, then I would def go with with the cheaper option. (why should I pay extra to make it easier for them to do something?)

None taken, our service manager said that it be faster and easier to do the whole thing. As for the DIY you do have to remove the inner door panel either way.
