2007 IS250 Nav. Piece of Crap? MN
Hi,
I was wondering if others have the same experience as me. I have a 2007 IS250 with builtin navigation. It literally doesn't have half the addresses I put in. I live in MN and bought the latest update disk even and which improved it alittle. But it still doesnt have many addresses even ones that have been around for decades. This is extremely frustrating since the built in GPS was a huge selling point for me. But i am forced to use my iphone for navigation many times now. So frustrating! I am wondering if others are having the same experience as me? Or am I doing something wrong. I know the GPS is really sensitive about the address, like you have to enter it exactly and sometimes in different combinations like North 5th street instead of 5th street North. Also when i first bought the car I used a pirated 2009 version of the updates, which worked fine it seemed but I thought maybe that was the issue of not having alot of addresses. So I bought a legit 2010 update and it improved a little but still not even close to a satisfactory level.

Not exactly sure what version nav it is, its a 2007 IS250 (not a levinson) so whichever ones comes with that. I bought the latest update from the Dealership in April which is version 2010 I think. The addresses that it can't find have been around for 20-30 years and are mostly in the Minneapolis area.

The nav software is fairly sucky. I spent 200 bucks updating the software to 10.1, and it still doesn't show most of the address I input in the city I work in (Irvine, CA). So fail, this thing.
