Question Fog Lights not working

My fog lights have not been working for a few months now. They worked just fine until HID kit installed x2 cause first one was bad quality (bad ballast) and after 1 12" JL audio sub with 250watt mono amp install. Ive checked all the low profile blade fuses in all the fuse boxes (engine compartment and inside the car compartments) Ive also took a peek at the other types of fuses that are not as easy to check and from the ones that I can see everything was fine. What else can I do/check before going to the dealership as I plan to install HID for the fogs, but obviously I gotta get the oem fogs to work again??? any input is appreciated and thank you

Hey man, do you have HIDs for fogs? try going back to stock.. if you are stock try switching out bubls...
I don't know, unless you cut the power to the cables, I don't see why they wouldn't work ...

I'm confused, you say they were working "until HID kit installed", which makes me think you installed HID fogs. But then you say you plan to install HID for the fogs, implying you still have OEM halogens.

Can you clarify?

If you installed an HID fog kit, then your problem is either the ballast or the bulb. Figuring that out involves just switching the ballasts then switching the bulbs to see which if either fixes it.

If you have OEM halogens and they're not working, then it's likely a larger electrical/fuse issue related to your audio and other installations.

Have you tried seeing if the ballasts are getting power? If so, check the wiring harness to the bulb for power.

GL!

I have the stock oem fogs in the car right now. I think I may have an electrical/fuse problem cause they don't turn on. Any suggestions on what else I can do to check em myself before resorting to the dealer?

So the fogs are and have only been halogen...never HID? Check the bulb yet?

I'm still confused. LOL. But anyway. You said they worked just fine until you installed something somewhere. Either its the wiring for your sub somehow and or the HID kit ( I don't know if you mean you installed them in your headlights or what. But if the problem didn't start until you installed whatever it was, then I suggest to check the wiring from your install and make sure you didn't blow a fuse. Or possibly disconnected or cut a wire for the fogs.

DID not turn off high beam; however, I did switch high beams to LEDs therefore my high beams do not work as high beams. They only function as day time running lights now.

I installed a sub and some HID lights for my low beams. In addition I switched the highbeam aka the day time running lights to LEDs and by doing that u loose ur high beam ability and only the day time running lights function.

i know you lose high beam function due to LED but it's gonna turn your fog off if you leave it at on position.
