My flawless IS350 got hit rear ended.
Bimbo was texting and driving behind me. The wreck is being handled by her insurance. Her Ford Fusion is more than likely totalled.
My IS350 is about 3 months away from passing the 4 year mark. This car has been flawless to this time. Not a single scuff, dent or wreck till yesterday. The vehicle was special ordered aug'07 and came in dec'07. Its an Obsidian '08 IS350 with ML w/ Navi, Radar cuise w/PCS, Sport Pack, and Park assist. The vehicle is fitted with the now discontinued side and rear dealer installed GFX and OEM Lexus HKS exhaust. The vehicle also has the Tom's front lip and OEM rear spoiler.
The left side of the exhaust is pushed forwards. The rear GFX and bumper and park sensors are damaged and will need to be replaced. The trunk lower plastic panel is also scuffed and the trunk is bent forwards about 8 mm at the bottom edge and sounds different when opened and shut. The diffuser under the spark tire well and also damaged. The check engine light came on while driving so the charcoal canister that sits above the diffuser more than likely is also damaged.
The main problem is that the rear GFX and HKS Lexus exhaust are no longer available and are banged up. I believe the y-pipe and the left muffler are the same between the F-sport IS exhaust and are still available (not individually, only full set).
If someone has a BNIB rear Obsidian GFX kit or know anyone who has one please email me as I prefer the OEM rear GFX.
The rear GFX being discontinued gives me the only option of going with the 06-08 Tom's rear under spoiler and diffuser. I really don't care for CF exterior parts on my IS as they look very tacky and make the vehicle look like they belong on a boy racer's vehicle. I also don't care for FRP stuff or any options that make the vehicle look like it is wearing a skirt. I'm mentioning this to help you guys undersand what my taste is like and how subtle I like my changes. The vehicle has to appear like as though it came with these options from factory and not stacked on aftermarket non-oem stuff.
What I would like to see are some pictures of a 06-08 Tom's racing GFX kit. The ones on their site don't have very detailed images. (I've done a search and can't find much)
Thanks in advance

Her insurance has to fix your car to how it was before the accident, fight with them until they pay up for another GFX rear lip.
I also know how you feel as my car was backed into yesterday in a gas station. The bad part is she was driving an SUV she did ninor damage to my car but she has a towing bar on her SUV and it hit the lip of my wheel cracking the chrome in the process. Now i have to fight with her insuramce (21st century) to have my wheel repaired.

If your body shop can speak well with her insurance company's adjuster and explains GFX is discontinued, you may possibly score on getting Tom's rear diffuser lip.
If it is a clever adjuster and does not want to keep you happy, then they might cross rivers and climb mountains to get your GFX replaced by maybe sourcing it somewhere and getting it painted to color.
goodluck!

I was rear ended 2 weeks ago by some girl texting and driving. Not too much damage. Right now her insurance is paying 1200 for a new bumper cover. And I'm still currently in a slow 2.5s altima. :/ sucks what happened hope it works out though for ya.

Sorry to hear about the accident! Hopefully you get it all taken care of, and i hope your insurance covers the aftermarket parts too!
