Why are there so many IS owners selling their ride? There are about 100-200 IS250's on sale within 50 mi radius.

its too subjective to fathom. lots and lots of reasons why folks are selling their cars. Upgrade, fuel economy, boredom, economy, family expansion etc... If anything be more worried if a CL member sells their IS rather than some joe schmo with a lex. Good news with a depreciated used Lex is that more people can get their hands on one, and its possible they might join CL

I own a 2011 IS 250 Convertible and I see NO one driving this baby around. Now, I do live 100 miles from the nearest Lexus dealer..... LOL

From what I have heard used car prices are at a all time high (higher than KBB) and a lot of people are selling their cars. My friend just sold his '98 S2000 CR to Carmax and they just gave him $1000 over KBB, no haggle. He then bought an A5, beautifuk car but power sucks.

I would totally be interested in replacing my 250 AWD with a 350 . Don't really need the AWD since I don't hit the slopes that often, and could use that extra 100hp.

That is probably simply from the fact that Is250 is so common in the Bay Area and LA/OC, so there is bound to be times when there are many owners selling.

It's simple...

The IS250 is slow as hell!!! No joke, im not trying to bash or flame on anyone's ride, but its true...

I mean, most people who buy the 2IS love it looks and try and bring back that Altezza heritage. I for one bought my IS350 for the great performance (at the time). Even to this day, the IS350 can hang with the big boys.

However, the same cannot be said about the IS250, therefore, most people trade them up after they realize that a small six cylinder SUV (aka RAV4) can spank it from start to finish. That my friend is enough to make anyone not only sell their car, but probably burn the @#$%er too.

Also, for every five IS250's out there, there is one IS350...."heh, kinda reminds me of my college days, 1 guy 5 chicks.....gigady...gigady....gi..ga..dy"
