Default Out of warranty for Aux TSB

I bought my IS250 used and it was already out of warranty. The interference noise from the power source is bugging me. I didnt know there was a TSB for this.

Do they sell the filter somewhere? I looked at Sewell website and couldnt find the filter. If anyone had the same issue and got it fixed, please let me know how I can get the filter.

Thanks!

radio shack sells em for a few bucks (not the exact lexus part, but it does the same thing)... it's called a ground loop isolator.

I expect sewell can get it for you too (the exact lexus part, probably for 10x more money than the radio shack version) if you call and ask

The TSB replaces the jack, and adds a noise filter.

86190-48010 - Jack, Aux
86237-33010 - Wire Harness, Filter
86516-33020 - Filter, Noise

(EDIT: Because these are not factory parts that came on the car, Sewell doesn't list them, you'll need to contact them if you want to buy the parts from them).

In the bottom of the center console box behind the shifter.

Umm...inside the center console on the back?? Thought all ISx50s had them?

I could try using that or Ferrite Bead. Not sure if that will fix the issue since TSB also replace the AUX input. I will try nonetheless.

But after looking at radioshack website, I wonder how am I supposed to install those red and white cables?

Yeah, the amazon one will do whatcha need... the radioshack one you linked to is for RCA plugs like on the back of a head unit.... I expect they sell the 3.5mm ones too but might as well get the amazon one, seems pretty good in the reviews.

It should do the same thing the TSIB does, though obviously not as elegantly unless you take the console apart and wire it up internally rather than just plugging it into the existing AUX jack
