Wanting to protect your car against rock chips while driving long distances is being a moron? Or are you talking about the phares/designs that are on the side of my car?

It seems you dont understand the point of the blue tape, or you dont care for my interests.

If its the latter, then you should be the one who should be embarrassed to be a Lexus driver. Someone is a moron because YOU dont like what they have done to their car? Please man up and be mature.

Although i wouldnt put words on my car with the tape, i use painters tape as a lot of people do. Is it more embarrassing to have a bumper/lip full of rock chips or to have tape on the front end...? Sure a clear bra is better, but for those without one, this works just fine. That said, once i repaint the front I'll opt for a clear bra.
Personally, I would rather spend the $10 and have fun with the tape. Yeah some may not like the phrases, but I did it for the lols. I got quite a few thumbs up while driving around so it seems some people enjoyed it

I dont think this thread is a debate on "do you like painters tape on the car", and your comment is just out of line. IF you wanted to stoop to that level, one could easily tell you "why did you buy a Lexus and throw cheap coil overs and wheels on it?"... But that's not appropriate, nor is it relevant.

Well..

If you tape up your car for a road trip, say 500 miles, to avoid rock chips, wouldn't you need to apply it if you make shorter trips but more often, that equaled said miles?

Example: Your daily commute to work is 100 miles a day (500/week). wouldn't you want to tape up your car throughout the week because you're still traveling the same 500 miles. It just happens to be over a week vs a single day, but same distance nonetheless.

That depends really if your commute is mostly highway or city. Driving in the city going from stop light to stop light you wont be going at high speeds as to where any debris would cause any chips in your paint.

I guess one could also ask, why bother getting an exhaust and headers on a IS250? You bought the wrong car if you want to go fast!

Cheap wheels and cheap coils for an "entry level luxury car" ...cause I can!

Although I wasn't hating on your mods, you proved the point of painters tape "cause (we) can!".
