I haven't heard of it being done, but it would be interesting to see if it can be done with the (LPS) Lexus Personalized Settings, as it does adjust a bunch of other small features like that and can disable the beep entirely too i think.
Nope, don't think it can be done. There is only one piezo beeper on the IS which is located on the driver's side (highlighted blue). It may not be visible through the engine comparment.
Depending on what side of the vehicle you are at, it maybe more difficult to hear depending on the ambient noise.
