so going off of Gville350's earlier post...

given this:

(theoretically) a torsen rear diff from a 2010+ IS-F would fit the 06+ IS350, right?

Correct, but you'd just use the Torsen and put it into your existing case, as the IS F has a different case and subframe bushings, plus the gearing in the IS F is 2.9:1 versus the 4.1:1 in the IS350. You would not want IS F gearing in an IS350.

Congrats on the successful swap, this is for sure my next swap and like you I would want an Auto IS300 LSD for faster of the line acceleration.

True! So if that's the case could the ring gear easily be transferred from the 350 to the 2010+ Torsen LSD? I assume the half shaft inputs (spline count) are the same as that of the 350?

IS F and IS350 use the same rear axles. You should be able to fit the IS F LSD into the IS350 case using the IS350 ring gear.

This thread gets five stars.

Jeff, thank you for being using your car as the genie pig for other 2IS owners.

I'd be surprised if you could do it for less than just buying an aftermarket posi though.

Isn't a new IS-F diff north of 4 grand? (it's not like you'll find a bunch sitting in scrap yards given how relatively few Fs are sold at all)

Heya Jeff Lange, isn't that the same Spec as the MKIII Supra diff? It sure looks like one to me. Lots of IS300 guys are trying to get Supra Diffs off me to stuff in the IS300.

Yes, you could use the A70 Supra diffs in the IS250 as well.

But of course. But when say 5 yrs down the road this might be helpful to someone. If anything, I'd probably go with another Quaife. Had good experience with the one I had in my Honda with 400+ whp.

So the MKIII supra diff will bolt right up to the IS300/IS250? If so I can find this very easly localy.

Yes, but remember that the MK3 Supra diffs are clutch type and 20 years (at least) old, they're probably quite worn by now, so you'd likely want to overhaul it before installing it.
