Is there a fix/solution to the IS250 wind noise??
Hello:
A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a CPO 2008 IS250 awd. I'm having an issue with wind noise from the front passenger side door. Once I hit 45-50, I can hear a faint sound of wind (I can't hear anything from the driver side...nice and quiet).
I took it back to Lexus, and they indicated the wind leak was fixed....it wasn't. It's still very much present.
I did a search and many of the wind noise threads are dated, and I didn't see any solutions posted. It's been awhile, are there any solutions/fixes to the wind noise problem?
Thanks,
P

If the noise is coming from the doors, than I am sure it is the inner doorpanel that is not fitted properly.
Take the door panel off, and check out the seals and put it back on... make sure the clips which are holding the doorpanel is attached to the door and door panel..

That sure was a helpful post. Thank you very much for adding absolutely nothing to this thread.
I recently replaced my windshield molding because the original was all cracked and the noise actually got worse!?! I thought maybe I didn't install it right but after checking and rechecking, everything is tight as can be. It's most noticeable from the passenger side. I too would like to know if anyone has found a solution.

Anyone fix this issues yet ? I thought of going to my dealer but don't want to look like an idiot if he tell me that my car is no LS or are we just over reacting to this ?
Are everyone Else's IS Cadillac and BMW level silent ?

I know on my wife's 08 RX350 and a lot of other years they have a window noise because the window goes up to far. Try just touching the window down switch so the window moves ever so little and see if it relieves the stress on the window that causes the noise. Not sure if it is the same thing on the IS but worth a try.

Seems to me that my CTS was quieter in the cabin than my IS is now at 50k. When I first switched I thought the Lexus was a little bit quieter, but I rode in a friends CTS the other day and it seemed like there was less road noise. I used a decibel meter on my phone the other day and it averaged about 70dB at 70 mph. I have never compared its accuracy to a meter known to be accurate, but from all I could find on the internet that 70dB is pretty average for newer cars. I didn't measure the CTS with my phone, but i'll try to remember to get a measurement the next time I ride in it for comparison.
