Anyone know how to remove the O2 sensor plug?
I've been trying to install the Invidia Midpipe that I bought from another member and it's been a PITA to do. I know I can have a shop do it but they want $60-$150 to do it. Not worth it since I'm starting college next week, no job, and since so many members here did the install themselves. Not willing to pay $150 at most to pay for install when pipe was only $50 more. First problem was that all my sockets/adapters were breaking since the bolts were so tight. A breaker bar couldn't do since I had no room to turn. So I bought a bigger ratchet and was able to remove 5 bolts. The last bolt got rounded and I bought a bolt-out set. Used it at my friends with an impact gun, it messed up the socket and the bolt even more. Bought it today to muffler shop, they charged $10 to use a torch and break the head off the bolt. It worked, but when I got home, the freaking O2 sensors were so tight when I used a torque wrench I didn't need, it was reaching 60 ft/lbs and couldn't come off. I needed more room too.
* Now what I want to do is unplug the O2 sensors from their plugs and deal with removing the sensors out of the pipe when it's out under the car. So how would I unplug and remove the sensors and will unplugging/putting them back cause a warning light? I know how to remove seats, just need direction from then on. Any help I'd really appreciate, Thanks!

If you didnt do this already, use WD-40, PB Blaster, or the like to lubricate the threads before trying to unbolt them. You have to spray them and let them sit to penatrate the threads. Dont be afraid to use alot because it evaporates quickly. Using a impact gun on all the bolts (not just the one you stripped) usually does the trick. Be sure to use the right size socket, and for the O2 sensor, you may need to buy a socket used only for O2 sesors. It may look like a regular socket but it has a specific size and a opening for the wire harness. Hope that helps. Good Luck.
