Default Simple/cheap debadge plugs?

I've searched and couldn't find anything on this.

As you guys know, debadging a 2IS is a pain in the *** because there are holes behind the Lexus and the IS250/IS350. I have an IS350 and I've been dying to debadge it simply because it'll look cleaner, but I'm not willing to pay over $100 to have four holes filled in from a body shop. I was just wondering if there was an inexpensive way to fill in those holes? IE. Painted plugs or something or that nature.

Thanks,

Plugs would look fine for licence plate removal, but debadging emblems? I don't think it'll give a clean look.

you can do a DIY and fill them yourself. i really wanted to do it as well, someone told me they took a chaulk or epoxy and filled the holes. They evened out the surface with a blade and made it flush with the metal to then let dry. Finally they went over the dried epoxy with some touch up paint as smooth as possible. The holes are pretty small, im pretty sure this method will be fine. I decided against it for the moment since i havent seen enough people do this yet. If more people do it with good results, then ill do it :P

I used epoxy to fill the holes, and then touch up paint. I finished it up by wetsanding the paint and then polishing. You cant even see the holes unless you're looking for them.

Up close you can sort of see it if the light is perfect.

I didn't bother filling them. They are so small... No one will notice unless they are looking for them.

This piece is removable correct? Someone should do a replica of it without holes.

Thanks! Right now I don't have any. That second shot is the closest I have. I could go take some pics later on this week and put them up.

To the OP, filling the holes takes no effort at all and looks great after. Glacier Frost Mica and Starfire Pearl are hard colors to match, but other colors should be much easier. I'd say do the project yourself!

They're round and dark...they look like holes.

I wouldn't mess with DIY on this one. You as the owner will ALWAYS know what's wrong
