i went budget on this. since by car is black onyx i got some gloss black vinyl, hole punched it, then used the circular vinyl pieces that the hole punch made, and slappped it on. its easy, cheap, reversible, and passes the 3 foot test.

i guess you can do the same by using touch up paint on the vinyl to match your car and hole punching in.

Looks fine without the holes haha. Idk, it might eventually bother me, but my car is sgm so it should show even less. I might just leave it there and mb epoxy + touch up paint it later. Thanks guys haha. I'll probably debadge this weekend.

Oh and before I forget. Do the holes lead into the trunk? Wouldn't want to leave the holes out with rain. That'd be no bueno haha. :P

I asked this question in an older thread, and was told and explained how it did not leak into the trunk

I've commented on a few posts like this. I covered my holes because i didnt want rust issues or rain to get into my trunk with all my audio/video.

I just took a lot of small pieces of tape and taped around the teeny circle. I bought a bottle of white paintable caulk for cheap at lowes/home depot. Squirt it in there, quickly before it dries take a razor or something and smooth it out. Use a dab of touch up paint/clear coat. My only issue was sometimes I might have waited a little long and when I evened with a razor blade it'd pull some out of the hole, etc. etc. but if you're quick it should take 30 min and 20 bucks tops. I can tell that I filled it with something if you put your face up to it but, whatever.

Would have been a good idea, except that when you factor in the fact that the replica piece needs to be painted as well, you might as well just have a body shop fill your OEM piece and match it lol.

I'm gonna try debadging mine next month, i'm trying something different, hope it works, will post up if it looks clean!

The holes go into the hollow area behind that section of the trunk. It's extremely unlikely that it would leak into your trunk.
