Upholstery
Hello, I am new here and this is my first thread. I own a 2008 Lexus is250 that is obsidian black and my interior is a tannish color. I believe its called Ecru Perforated Leather Trim with Espresso Bird's-Eye Maple Accent. I really regret getting this interior color, I want something black or gray. Does anyone have experience with getting your interior completely redone? Is it worth it? Do you know around how much it will cost? Sorry for so many questions, I'm new to Lexus I just recently got it about 2 months ago.

To redo the entire interior of your car with OEM Lexus parts, expect to pay around $15,000-20,000 for all the seat covers, door panels, dash pieces, consoles, head rests, roof liner, sills, pretty much everything. Sell the car if you don't like the colours and buy one with the scheme you like.

Yeah it's really not worth it then. My dad is planning on buying a car and he likes my car so the plan was for him to keep my current is250 and I would just get a new one. So now I can choose what colors I want.
I currently have a obsidian black is250 but I was thinking of getting it Starfire Pearl with a black interior but I'm having a hard time deciding between the two colors. Any suggestions on obsidian black vs starfire pearl?

i would forget about switching the interior color, but yea i agree i hate the tan. its more suitable for girls or older people. About the black or white color, I love both of them. i personally have a black is250. Sadly it is DEFINITELY worse than any of the other colors in terms of maintaining cleanliness. imperfections stick out like a sore thumb. I will definitely be buying white for my next car.

interesting. I have black and in 4 years it's about as good as new. I clean and condition it once a month. I have dogs and even though I put a big sheet in the back...that takes it's toll on the back seat when dirt get's into the perforations when i DONT have a sheet but I've no problems with cleaning or maintaining the black leather. White? ICK

+1 for full custom upholstery Or just put some Bride buckets in. I though I saw someone had their rear bench in black for sale on the classifieds relatively recently? You can also use that spray paint for carpet on the floormats/liner. Would take a lot of work, but you could do it for cheaper.

This is why Interior color is one thing you don't settle on when purchasing a car. You can live with the exterior color but interior color is a whole new ball game.
Also like many have said it will be a lot of money so it's probably best to let your old man take it and you buy a new car.
