Default Car shut completely off when turn off

Hello, everybody:

I'm having a trouble with my Lexus IS 350 2007. The car starts and work very well, but when I turn park and off the car, the electrical system just work for a few seconds (less than 10 secs). After that the car gets completely off (death): no power lock, no open trunk, no remote control to open or close.

I have to open and close the car with the spare key

Does anyone know what could be? Please, help!

Sorry I had to read your post about 5 times to get the jist of what you're trying to say and i'm still not 100% clear. From your title you stated that the car shuts off when you turn it off, I would assume so as all car do that.

Can you slow down and clarify what the issue is?

My guess is that once he shuts off his ignition... none of the buttons work. For example, pressing the trunk release, power door locks, gas door, etc...

For mine, it works without power-on anything or the key fob. I can open trunk, gas door, etc.... but mine is a 2009.

I'm not sure if this was a special configuration by LPS.

Maybe someone with a 2007 can chime in.

+1 on clarification. Are you saying that when you park the car and turn it off by pressing the start button, everything shuts off completely any won't work (meaning electronics like keyless door handles, trunk release, etc)?

I guess that his key fob battery went out but would need more info to verify.

It's most likely your car battery going dead. Have it tested.

^^ ya thats what is sounds like to me. Dead battery or battery that is almost completly dead. This happened to me with my previous car. It would completly die as soon as the alternator stopped reviving the battery.

Could be the battery or maybe a fuse went bad. Check the fuse box out.

Hi, everyone:

Sorry for not answering before.

First: the battery, fuse, and alternator are perfect. I already check them all. Also, when I push the button to start the car, it start perfectly.

Now, to clarify my problem: when I park the car and push the button to stop the car, everything shuts off completely and won't work (meaning electronics like keyless door handles, trunk release, etc).

It's clear that is an electrical problem but is very weird since the car start fine and everything (power locks, trunk, keyless door handles, etc.) work fine when the car is on or in accessories.

I want to share with you guys that funnie was right: was a fuse!!!

Was the fuse No. 8 of the fuse box of engine compartment (type A): MPX-B. That fuse feeds a computer that controls everything when the car is off (Headlights, front fog lights, parking lights, license plate lights, windshield washer, horn, power door lock system, power windows, power seats, electric tilt and telescopic steering column, meter, smart access system with pushbutton start, outside rear view mirrors, air conditioning system, security system).

Thanks to all you guys for your comments and support.

It's on page 295 and 299 of the owner manual. You can download it from http://goo.gl/Sm2Xt ("DIY_Maintenance.pdf" page 41 and 45 on the PDF).

It's on Engine Compartment (Type A), next to battery.
