I've got the regular premium sound on my is250 and it sounds pretty good, but I was wondering how much better is the sound for the Mark Levinson systems? Do they add any more speakers or is it pretty much just an extra amp + dvd function?

The quality of the treble and the way the bass hits is so much cleaner/crisp. Though the premium doesnt sound bad at all.

for me, ML blew my ears away. Coming from Acura TL els premium system, i thought it sounded good. Then the standard lexus system sounds better, and then ML is just so clear, it feels like i'm enjoying music again or in a different perspective. I'm not saying ML is the the bomb but it's just my opinion.

Man, I regret not finding an is250 with ML. The standard sound is pretty good, actually quite impressive. But I'm pretty sensitive when it comes to music quality and I appreciate the finer sounds of life. Anyway, is there anything I can do with the standard system that can make it sound better without spending a fortune?

Here is what I did. I know you're not looking for BASS, but I had a non nav and bought the Fly Audio and change all my mids and highs up front and added a center channel as well. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...with-pics.html My buddies aftermarket subwoofer system with ML mids and highs don't sound as good as mine and can't go that loud before distortion.

14 Speaker Surround Sound System w/ a 300 Watt Sub/Amp

Highs/Mids are crisp and amazing! Sub sucks, blew it, got 2 12" BMF's now and its amazing!

compared my ML with my cousins premium

ML is definatly better, but its not like the premium is crap
but i wish the sub was bigger!
added 2 12's for a bit, but got rid of em now

getting subs again soon tho!

Can someone compare it to aftermarket system and name a close equivalent?
Sony xplod? Infiniti reference? Focal 1000watt system?
