Default Any way I can make my IS350 sound like this?

Just came by it on YouTube. Those back-fires/popping sounds are awesome and was wondering if our cars can do it? Obviously, it's not the same engine so it's not going to be the same sound but can our cars do the same popping sounds?

Here is my favorite set up (sound-wise) for the 2IS: http://www.vimeo.com/13189078

It's not my car (it belongs to a CL member Chris). Does it sound like that G35? Not quite, but check it out nonetheless. It's sort of an atypical set up because the mid pipe is illegal and the ARC super induction box is relatively expensive.

I think it sounds fantastic on drive-bys. Note that the car in the video is an IS250.

either do straight pipe, or go with an exhaust paired with the invidia mid pipe

Man, sounds good but that is one of the ugliest exhaust I ever saw for the 2IS..

Btw, my F-sport exhaust, Nvidia midpipe w/o resonator, AFE Stage 2 intake has a very similar sound to that G35.. Not as much popping but very close..

I got an intake already and have an Invidia Midpipe sitting here that I'm trying to install. The LAST bolt I need to remove is rounded so I need to visit Sears for their Bolt-Out sets. The only thing I like about that G35 is how it makes those popping sounds when the RPMs drop. I hear something similar on my car but just not that noticeable like in that video.

Delete those 2 Resonators and that extra cat and you'll get more of a G-35 rev drone.

Backfires...Rock race headers and run straight pipping...although...it's not something you want for your car...straight piping = your whole car smells like exhaust. yay.

Lol of course the isf is going to sound good. A five liter v8 is always going to sound better than an isx50.
