I had that kind of stain back in the days when I were driving Impreza. Hit the affected area with Klasse All-In-One and it will be gone, for a while...

If the exhaust tip is very close to the bumper openning, that area will turn brown permanently due to the heat eminating from the exhaust, not the exhuast fume.

Actually, that is the point. To be able to remove it when it does turn yellow. If it's large enough it may not loose it's adhesive qualities, but may bubble with heat.

anyone with SFP and my combo? its the heat that is turning the lip brownish not the smoke. the smoke i can wipe away as i pretty much clean my car once a week and also drive it once a week.

its the heat. i could take it to a muffler shop and extend it but i just wanted to see what others are doing. i could also put the cover from the pic from above but it might look tacky....

since adding the rear i maybe driven it 4 times and its already getting this. it will get worst as time goes by.....repainting the every year is costly on top of that getting the right shop to match is the biggest problem.

Totally agree with you! Exhaust tips get VERY hot, so it's not just the exhaust fumes/smoke. Got second degree burns on a couple of my fingers from a Greddy Evo II exhaust tip when an exhaust hanger bracket broke on my Lancer. Had to rig up gas station bungie cords under the canister itself, as the tip actually melted through the cords in minutes. LOL!
