Just got my new IS350 with clear bra on...and have some qustions
Hi,
I just purchased a 2011 IS350 with F-Sport Package in SGM a couple of days ago. I installed the 3M clear bra at the dealership and I noticed a couple of "indentations" on the front bumper where your number plate would go. Do all IS350 come with these "indentations?" Are these markers for drilling holes for number plates? More importantly, is the clear bra going to bubble up over time around this area? You should be able to see one of them on the left edge of the picture attached. I also see a couple of small bubbles on the lower side of the bumper, should I bring that up to the dealer and ask them to sort it out or am I just being too ****?
Thanks,

Yes all factory IS's have it if you don't have plate bracket already mounted. They aren't for drillng but you can actually push the screw right through and start the thread. I have an 08 and never mounted my front plate so I still have these. As far as bubbling in the clear bra I would park it in the sun and give it a week to see if it goes away.

Ive had my clear bra since 07 and have had no bubbling AT ALL, what color is your car? the reason i ask is because my clear bra has some oxidation on it, but its hard to see since, my car is black sapphire, but over the years i could see the clear bra turning a different color on a lighter colored vehicle...if its bubbling you might want to say something so it can be done right...

Congratulations on your 2011 IS350 F-Sport!! I got the same color too, man. I would let it settle for a few days and if it doesn't go away, I would bring it up. I had an outside guy do mine since my dealership wanted $1300.

I got mine for $695 installed at my Lexus dealer when I purchased the car. Coverage same as you mention, but the side view mirrors. :-)

I've too have had a clear bra (3M), since 2007 and not bubbling whatsoever.
I do have one small tear in it; however, that is from actual damaged caused by me. Without the bra, this damage would have been one deep *** scratch on the front of my hood.
