dude my jaws dropped to the floor when i saw your pic. your mechanic does not know what is was doing when removing interior pieces. i would make the shop pay for the damages. go back and talk to the owner and work something out because thats not right. next time take it to an ase certified mechcanic

anyways get a quote to replace the dash. send a certified demand letter along with pictures giving them 2 weeks for payment otherwise you will sue and they will be liable for the replacement cost as well as court costs.

Please say that there was a work order written out for that and you have a copy....
By him not charging you, he didn't 'work' on your car. If he didn't work on your car, he couldn't damage it. No work order, no proof that car was ever in his shop.
That's absolutely horrible. I would just die if that happened to Micaiah. I'm wishing you luck and hope that you get compensated for this.

As a professional mechanic myself, I can tell you whoever did that had no business around a car with tools and the shop should be 100% liable for that which is why they carry insurance and if they don't then go after the assets of the business either way you have a case weather he charged you or not.
1st thing to do would be to go there with a demand letter as previously stated then call the police to file a report asap!
Get the paper trail started!! Good luck I hope it works out for you.
