Hello CL,
I recently just purchased a 06 IS250 w/ 32xxx miles and would like to introduce myself. I came from a Honda, driving the 2IS is a major upgrade to me. I have been lurking around the forums and found really great information regarding the 2IS. I'm also very happy that there people here are very friendly and helpful compared w/ my previous Acoord forum. I'm also really glad that there're many members in NorCal

Anyways, here are the pics of my previous ride and my new 2IS

PRESENT.

PAST.

After having to own the car for a week now, I like everything about the car except the dash rattling and the windshield rubber cracking. I tried going back to the dealership and they wouldnt fix it cus they said that its out of warranty

Overall, I love the 2IS although i wished it was the 350! Hopefully I can get to know some of the members here

Welcome and nice upgrade even if it is a 250. Yeah just turn up the radio and you wont hear the dast rattle hahaha...Or bang the dash with you fist will get it to go away sometimes.

Welcome to CL! Looks like you got a clean slate to work with, you'll be modding it in no time if your active on here

BTW about the dash rattling, there's a TSB to cover it, altho they are right in saying its out of warranty (4 years/50k miles - your cars past the 4 year mark) try another dealership and let them know about the TSB and see if they will help, if that fails, call Lexus Corporate and ask for some help out of goodwill. The dash rattle is an annoying and expensive issue to fix. I think the windshield rubber has a TSB too, not sure though. More times than not, corporate will help you out

congrats on the new car!!! i know how annoying the dash rattling can get. There are couple DIY on dash rattling if your dealership doesnt fix it. i fixed mines in less then 15 mins.

Congrats~! This is a dangerous place to have a virgin untouched car. Once you get started with the mods, even the subtle ones, are hard to stop.

thanks for the warm welcome guys! i'm really liking this car especially with the luxurious feel that Lexus have over Honda.

I really want to start my mods off with the GFX kit but I know i will regret down the road because I already have my eyes on the Wald. Only reason is because Sewell has them OEM painted and priced cheaper than the rest of the kits out there. Wald kit is my dream kit I really want but its way too expensive for my blood now
Wheels and suspension will be next after the body (:
