Took some pictures from many angles, you can clearly see it reflects on the bubbling area.

basically is like a magnifying glass, so the chrome trim ring is the culprit? if so lexus should make it a flat silver or black.

^I think it is the projector lens acts like magnifying glass, not the chrome ring...

I had an appointment at the dealership today and so I talked to a service guy at the dealership. They are aware that multiple cars on the lot have the bubbling problem aside from mine. He hasn't gotten any information from Lexus about it though and for now they won't replace the headlights until the paint starts chipping off. But yeah, even if they replace it with another headlight now, it'd probably end up bubbling again.

Lexus is aware of this issue. I saw that they have a dealer service bulletin up on the tech info toyota site. They are not replacing headlights at all right now, they are however building a database of all the cars that are having this issue and will rectify im sure.

My car is about one month old (and it sat in the garage for a week while on vacation). Passenger side already has good size bubbles. Checked today and the driver's side has a small bubble. Guess I should report this to my dealer so it helps with the effort....

Update for me:

Dealer just called me and Lexus Canada is going to offer me the headlights replacement under warranty.

So I will drop by and get my bubbling defected headlights replaced, I am sure Lexus still don't have a proper solution for this, since they said they need my defected ones for further investigation.

i wish there was a way to buy the replaced bubbled ones. i wouldn't mind the expense of the bubbles for the LED strip DRL's.

That probably won't be possible, as I'm sure Lexus will want to take the defective part for "investigation."

3 weeks, so far so good, no bubbling against Dubai's sun.

I installed the Ventureshield protection film though, I don't know if it really protected from the bubbling defect.

My understanding is that the culprit for this problem is the proximity of the headlamp and this trim piece right underneath. I don't think external temperature has anything to do with it.

I guess I gotta hold off on the 2011 headlights then. For those who did the 2011 headlight mod I guess you can take it out and use a flat black high temperature paint and respray it. Suck that it's Such an expensive headlights to have to repair it urself. Hope this get fix soon cause I'm really digging the 2011 lights. I'm really curious what's Japan gonna do to solve this issue... Someone over there is in trouble...
