2011 Headlamp Bubbling Defect
#442
Wish I would have read this thread before I took my IS350C in for the VVT gear recall! Oh well, they cracked my silver lexus engine cover and also left off two of the black pins/clips on both the side black covers so that needs to be taken care of also.... I just check both my headlights and they have the bubbling right in front of the HID head light on the black paint....

I had mine in dealership checked three weeks ago . They told me they have to order it. It had been three weeks tomorrow. Called a few times to see update. They said the driver side came in but still waiting for passenger side.

Finally got my replacement headlights installed yesterday. Looks good! I had a littlest sticker shock on the replacement cost though, lol
Don't have any before ( sure you all know what the bubbling looked like), but here are some after photos:

Just picked up my IS350C from being upgraded to new lights. Lexus is very good at making sure the customer is well taken care of. Gave me a loaner for the day, which was a RX350 that came in handy in the snow we have in south eastern pa. They even washed my IS350C for me... if only I could have made it home with it still clean!!!
Looking at the Parts invoice on my repair/replacement it is showing the same part number as the original part # of 81185-53670 and 81145-53670? Why would they install the same part# as the defective unit if they had to order them and wait for them to arrive? Why would Lexus even have those parts still on the shelf to send to them if there is a defect in them?
