I don't think they're talking about the cluster repair. They might be talking about the LED swap for the whole interior meaning the NAV unit, radio, window switches, and all that.

Oh ok, he quoted the cluster lighting post. That's a fair price for all that if it includes labor.

Thanks for the pics.
About to install some tach/speedo LEDs on a customers car. Nice to see the needles before I pull his cluster out.

One question,
Are they 1210, 0603, or 0805?

Think I found the answer.

If you can take some pics along the way I think people would appreciate it.

Old thread i know, but I am about to do this and I was wondering if I should worry about adding resistors in the needles?

Huh?
Last time I checked the 2nd gen IS was made after 1996.

Did you post the wrong link? Do you make later model ones?

Well, i managed to eff up one of my needles. Soldering iron was too bulky for the tight spaces and it just didn't go well, ran out of LEDs and now i need to order more. Is there any place to just buy the needle ?
Also, where is the led for the temp and gas needle... i pulled it apart but there were no LEDs in there?
