Default Which front lights can be changed to LED?

Hi,

I plan on changing some lights to LED. My question is which ones are simply plug and play such that it will not give off a warning light?

So far I only know the parking lights can work with LEDs, but I am not sure about the other front lights.

Thanks

Some people switch out their fogs or change out their Highs/DRLs ... but I would prefer to keep those for visibility reasons...

Search for "Lighting Replacement Guide" under the 2IS forum, that contains all the information you'll need to do LED swaps.

If you're only looking for front lights, then you can do the parking/city lights as well as the high beams/DRLs, though in doing the latter you lose high beam functionality.

I don't know about LED fogs or if that exists, but most people on here who do lighting mods do HID fogs.

You can also probably do some others like turn signals - I think I've seen that once on here before - but it's less common.

Thanks for the help. Front lights I was thinking mainly since the rears I would probably get like the LED kit from Sewell and do a swap for it so it should be ok.

As for the front, I may not want ot give up the DRL/High beam most likely would want to do the turn signals if it can be be changed out.

LED fogs do exist - One I do know is Lexus's Japans Fog kit which is only for the 2011 cars which would most likely cost an arm and a leg!

You can change the turn signals out, but I really don't think it's worth it. You have to install resistors too to avoid hyperblinking.

The JDM fogs have LED DRLs, but the foglights are actually projector housed HIDs. LED foglights would be kind of silly since LEDs don't put any usable light on the road.

The 2011 headlights have LED DRL strips.

Oh sorry, to clarify my car is not a 2011 model. So I may go with LED or go HID fog. What would be the the choice I guess?

Thanks

Again, LED fog lights would be kind of silly since they put almost no usable light on the road, rendering them functionally useless. You might as well go HID, that way you can have both useable ight and a nice color to it.

HID fogs are the way to go. LED's in the fogs even those with like 68 LEDs on eBay are weak. An HID kit will only cost like $10 more than LEDs and well worth it.

Is there a guide how to change to the HID fogs then? I maybe interested in Lexus Japans's HID fog kit. I am not familar with doing it myself.

its plug n play.
ebay a kit for around 30 bux with ballasts and bulbs with color of choice.
everything plugs in line. The tricky part is finding a home for the ballast and making it secure. easy to DIY and great results.

that link doesn't work for me.
I picked up something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Slim-...ht_6353wt_1165
I like to buy from US sellers so it doesn't take as long to ship.
you should be able to find slim ballasts for HIDs for $10 each shipped and any color 9005 bulb for around $10 for 2 shipped
there are more expensive kits, but I've had good luck with the ebay kits for around $30 shipped.

Try this link, this should work.

If not it maybe your place where you using your internet is blocking it since I know it works at home.
