wow...240k. I can barely keep the same car for 2-3 years, so it's nice to know that these have a little longevity. Since this is my wife's car ('11 350C), she generally trades out after 5-6 years. However, she says that this is her last car! yeah, right...

Any tips on how you avoided any significant hazing/crazing/fogging/sandblasting of your headlights? Almost every car I've seen had nearly opaque headlight lenses before ever hitting six-digit mileage. I've got film on mine, but I anticipate having to replace that every two years or so.

Just a lot of car washes. I mean a lot. The headlights are pretty beat up by rock chips but it still looks pretty decent. Let me put it for you this way, I fell in love with the IS since I saw the first commercial for the IS300 in 2000. When I got this car on August 21, 2006 I literally went in OCD mode for a good while. My wife used to wake up in the middle of the night and find me in the garage polishing the wheels.

If you don't maintain the ignition system on a honda they tend to do that. My integra has all OEM items inside the distributor and it idles at 800 rpm even with the a/c on.

Before I bought my car I test drove a brand new S2000 and it was the same thing in idle. Maybe I am asking for too much when a car is idling at a stop light.

I agree. I normally change cars every 18 month but I plan to keep the 350 for many many years and this just adds confidence to the fact that I can.

You need to spray Aerospace 303 protectant on your headlights. The 303 has a UV protectant in it that will help protect your headlights from becoming foggy.
