Default Wheel stud..

Well long story short.. I am assuming the dealer over torqued a stock lug nut in the winter when I had the stockies on. The wheel stud snapped in half. Half on remained in the car and the other half in the lug nut.

I replaced the wheel stud myself on the car already but am clueless on how to get the broken piece out of the lug nut. Its not a big deal to me because I can just throw it out as I have plenty of lugs I can use in the winter but if I can remove it I would like to.

Put the lug in a vice and drill into the bolt with a smaller bit. You should then be able to back it out. If you don't have a vice you can try to hold it with pliers or something? (Did i spell pliers wrong?)

go to Home Depot / Lowes and show them your lug nut. They'll have a drill bit. Can't remember what it's called, but it's a self tapping bit that you use it your drill in reverse. it will pull it right out.

Or super glue a nail to the bolt and then use pliers to remove.
