Trim question
So the one thing I don't like about my car is the wood trim inside. I was looking at Sewell and wondering if the Silver Trim kit they sell is of the same quality as my wood trim? Does anyone have pictures of what this looks like in the car? All the 350s I looked at had the Luxury package.
Thanks

I actually am interested in this too, I have never liked the wood trim in my car and it’s starting to show scratches now. I’m assuming from the pic on their site and the price it’s basically the same quality since you replace the whole piece and it’s not an overlay…

Cool. I wonder if i can find someone to trade my woodgrain for their silver. Does it look like the BMW silver and the silver in the rest of my car?

i too at first didn't like the maple wood, however it is growing on me. perhaps silver would look better, but then I think the car would lose a bit of it's luxury.
when i look at the going price, of over $1000 retail from sewell it just kills me to want to rip it off, or cover it with some vinyl tape.

i hated the wood. so i bought the carbon fiber overlay from aerotect. Looks much better, but it may be cheap looking if you want a luxurious look. Or you could get carbon fiber overlays. Which look more realistic.

$1000?? I see the "Silver Trim kit with Seat cooler & Automatic Transmission" on Sewell for $395 w/ my CL discount. That's why im asking.. seems like a cheap fix.

The maple wood trim is more expensive than the silver trim. If you've got the money to spend and like the carbon fiber interiors (but don't like the vinyl), buy the silver trim and hop on carid.com and pick up their CF overlay kit. Then sell your original wood pieces

I actually don't like the carbon fiber interiors. So I'll do everything you said minus the overlay!

one detail to note about these trim kits:
wood trim kits are considered "premium" or "luxury package" - they come with a black garnish around the switches that makes them look nicer.
silver trim kits are "standard" and do not come with that garnish plate.
they are also different part numbers... see the difference below: the is-f and wood window plates are "premium" and the black cf was originally a "standard" silver kit before it was wrapped...

Interesting.....
The trim kits I see on Sewell seem to have a silver outline?

Am I missing something?

Ahh ... Could I move the garnish from my stock trim over?
