Default Is250

Welcome. There were some nice updates for 2008. If you want a sportier ride, look for a sports package vehicle. It will have slightly lower ride with Tokico Shocks from the factory. If you're gonna mod the suspension, doesn't matter. I bought an 08' Starfire Pearl RWD certified with 16,000. No problems. If I do have any, covered for 3 years. I take it Vancouver is snowy. You might consider AWD or I've heard great things about Continental DWS's. Great fuel economy in the IS250 btw. I drove from Florida to Maryland and stopped over in Raleigh, NC drove around the city all day and averaged for the whole trip 34 mpg.

New For 2008

Standard Features:
- Revised steering system for improved feel
- 17-in 10-spoke wheels [3] adopt Liquid Graphite finish
- Revised front seatback shape to increase rear legroom
- Coin holder to left of steering wheel (mounted on IP)
- Backlighting added to outside mirror control
- Available illuminated scuff plates change from blue backlighting to white backlighting

I would agree with looking into a 2008 as well.

AWD is nice to get, but you want more of the looks and want to get better fuel economy, go with the RWD. In the winter, it would not be a problem as long as you get dedicated snow tires and you will be fine.

If you're looking for certified used IS250 RWD, would be harder to find in WA since standard cars that come here are AWD. However, if you are looking for a new RWD in the color you want, they can bring it in. Otherwise, you may have to look like in Cali to find RWDs ceritifed in the color you want.

Lol.

I see about the 06...

Thats cool that you dont have to press agree in the new ones.

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but my uncle owns a lexus hybrid (prius right?)

Anyway - I'm watching his house and I just went and sat inside it, playing with the (copy of the bmw idrive system)...

man what a POS .. LOL.

I dunno what year this car is....however, I feel like my (almost mine) is250 is way more awesome than this car..

Default New To CL - About to purchase 08' is250!!

Hey there guys, I'm new to CL! I'm going to purchase an 08' is250 MT.
Momma has a LS460 and I LOVE that car! Now its my turn to own myself a Lexus(:

http://orlando.craigslist.org/ctd/2183558429.html

A little about myself, I'm turning 17 soon. I'll be needing a car since I have 3 other siblings I have to drive around, piano lessons/drum lessons. I'm not spoiled! I do well in school and determined to become a doctor in the future. I worked my @$$ off to reach this point in purchasing a car! And I chose the is250 because it has always caught my attention on the road. Well enough about me!

SO, a question for you guys..
I've been looking around the forums and I've been thinking the first thing I'm going to do it lower my car and probably purchase the F-Sport exhaust as my first mods. Tinted windows/tail lights will soon come after that. But I wanted to ask you guys what do you guys think you would do if you had a brand new is250, what kind of mods would you do with it? This will help me down the road! Thanks in advance!

-Ben

Welcome to CL!

My car came tinted, so my first mods were exhaust/intake and yellow fogs. It's all about what you like....

At 17, you should be thinking about what college you are going to get into than mods lol. Personally I would rather get a lip kit first if you are into that stuff.
